See the recording it bit is what has got him into trouble. I don't agree with it as its unnecessary but as for been cruel, its no more cruel to feed a kitten to a burm than a rat or guinea pig or rabbit, the effect is the same, its still a very quick death.
It will however give snake keepers a bad name (as if we need more bad press) and with accepted feeder animals available this was a step too far into the realm of domesticated animals. I personally don't value one animal over another but the way the kitten was given as a 'xmas present' in the video was irresponsible and I'm sure that kitten wasn't bought specially either, I don't want to think about how they got it. |

The kitten had a name, which suggested to me it was a pet....
He clearly got a kick out of doing it...
Are pet pythons usually fed on kittens and cats then? or small dogs when they get big..? - Genuine question, as I wouldnt have a clue!
My reptile shop has two massive burms, and always mean to ask them what they feed them, but always forget when I go in there!! |

It the header: Vicious Snake" that annoys me!
This animal was being fed,whats vicious about that! At the end of the day if a snakes hungry and an animal is placed in front of it then its going to do the natural thing and feed.
I have a friend who's next door neighbours rabbits were killed by another neighbours dog leaping over the fence,as soon as it happened the animals owners were labelled irresponsible. Not once was the dogs character in question. As soon as its a *different* animal the scare tactics start.
The woman is a sick individual,not only for using someones pet (doubt its hers) in that manner but also for putting the snake in danger of injury too for the sake of entertainment. Sounds a right bunny boiler! |

This is so disturbing! The fact that the python was merely doing what it would naturally isn't what bothers me, it's the fact that this person knew full well/ internetially filmed this scene for enjoyment of all things! It's not the first I've heard of this though.
My friend owns a burm and the woman who moved next door to him found out. She asked what the snake ate, to which my friend replied rabbits. She then asked that if it could eat a rabbit, it could surely eat a cat. Of course, my friend replied yes, as they're roughly the same size. She disappeared inside her house and brought out a basket of day old kittens!!
He rang the RSPCA after refusing to take the kittens but I don't think anything happened other than they took the kittens and her oteher animals away. |

I actually think using unwanted.kittens and puppies as snake or zoo feed would be a good idea, saves them getting put down and wasted. Trouble is though meat eating animals being fed to other meat eaters isnt a good deit.
Also gross, you shouldnt feed snakes on your bed. |

This was completely wrong on all levels.
I think the main problem is that the feeding of anything live should not be for the purpose of entertainment only necessity.
There is no excuse for this. It is not practiced to feed kittens to snakes and although it may have not been in this country and in the country it was recorded in has different live feeding regulations, there can be no argument that it was unnecessary and done for the sole reason of creating this video.
This piece of scum who recorded it has also recorded 2 other movies of kittens being killed, one of which was drowned. It is clear that they are not right in the head and need to be locked up. |

I didn't see the drowning one, that is sick. I do hope they find out where the person is from ect although I wish PETA would get their nose out of this and go away. |
