Ok after River's death I have been really paranoid about our new snake Martha (named by my sons after Martha Jones in Dr Who).
We have had her for 7 days and she is usually quite active - every time she isn't I am convinced she is dead - fortunately she doesn't stay still very often!!
Anyway we have had her 7 days now so decided to feed her today. After River's failure to feed I was worried about this but I needn't have been. I offered her a pinkie with tweezers and she struck almost immediately!!
Such a relief!!! (though I'm still going to be paranoid for a while!)

Aww, that's fantastic news. I'm so pleased to hear that Martha took her pinkie, that must make you feel so much happier and more at ease. She must be quite content

Well done. She won't regurge as long as she's left alone and her set up conditions are correct.

That's great! Although everyone tells you that it will be ok, you just can't help worrying until you get that first feed over with and it's digested, especially after all you went through with River.

I'm really glad that Martha is doing so well.
