Was cleaning out the tortoise's living quarters this afternoon. I put her on the rug on the floor for safe keeping and when I was done I couldn't find her! She had left the room and everything by the time I tracked her down lol. They can move with surprising efficiancy when they want to, considering she rarely moves in her box!

They're surprising good climbers as well.
One of my ex's parents' had some Horsefieldi tortoises, and they built an outdoor run for them; brick walls with grass and dandelions, and a few bushes for them to hide in. One of them climbed up the corner, and went missing for 2 weeks.

Glue a corner flag to their backs, makes them far easier to find, or a naked gun style flashing light.

I'd go for a suction cup and an old fishing rod to make it easier to get her back in future.

You never know, it might catch on as a new sport.
