http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=13662 can you answer these questions and we can then try to give you some help.

Also welcome

Edit: and what do you mean not moving is it just sitting in its hide or just lying about doing nothing

I think it is due to prolonged high temps, im assuming you dont have a stat. Prolonged exposure to extreme heat for corns will effect them. Suggest you seek a Vet, however not wanting to be all doom and gloom it doesnt sound promising if it is that lethargic

I can agree with this, there's a high chance that the food has overheated and caused bacterial infection due to rotting in the gut as well as other damage due to being overhot.

Can I just ask where you're local to as well??

Welcome here, it is unfortunate that you joined here on such sad circumstances.

All vets have training with reptiles although it is normally very limited. Some normal vets are very good with reptiles and have an interest and passion so will treat them well, others just don't care and make up random stuff to get money.

I do have to agree with g though... :( I guess all you can really do is see if it pulls through the night.

It says in profile K :p

It happens a lot, you are not the first and you certainly won't be the last. I've done the same you trust the people who sell you animals thinking they have there best interest at heart.

Then get a new partner.

I'm sorry but if he/she is like that then many animal protection services would try to ban them from having pets.

It's your sons, it's nice that your partner seemingly doesn't care.

Anyway, WE DO.
Here's a linky to your closest reptile vets:
The Gatehouse Veterinary Hospital
Lavister
Rossett Nr Wrexham

Tel: 01244 570364

They open at 8am, give them a buzz in the morning.

In all honesty research is good, however you TRUSTED a shop that sold reptiles therefore expected them to give you proper advice, as I would. It is not all your fault.

Hoping this doesnt put your son off snakes they can be fascinating pets, and you now know where we are.
