I got fluffy when he was about 4 months old from a woman that had too many snakes and lizards to look after, he was kept in a glass tank with 2 other corn snakes and when he was about 3 months old escaped and was missing for over 3 weeks, she eventually found him under the stairs in a carrier bag. He hadn't been shedding the skin off the tip of his tail properly either and a tiny part of it had died
Now, 11 months on he is completely different, sheds perfectly, his tail is better and eats without fail every week he has a viv all to himself and spends his time looking at me through the glass or lazing around. I am so glad I got him when I did, he has been the best pet in the world |

i bought my 2 this morning off preloved.bearing in mind the advert said CORN SNAKE + VIV AND PARTS £50 i sent various emails etc had a long chat about this snake in question.i knew she didnt have much of a clue to be honest told her to bring it round.carried the viv in popped the heatmat on etc grabbed one snake out to inspect and saw two heads in the hide.i told her that she shouldent keep snakes together really.i was happy with both snakes paid her the money and she went.it wasnt untill later i discovered the snake was sneezing and wheezing everynow and again.rang my reptile vet i use for my spiders she said it was because of the variations in temp in the vivarium.she was right the matstat wasnt even registering anything on the probe part.it was then my blood started to boil.i overlooked the fact that the vivarium was fit for a skip.no log foliage 1 little hide 1 exposed light at the opposite end to the heat mat i may add.i cut the plug straight off that to stop my kids from plugging it in.it makes me so mad how people can neglect there snakes anyway watch this space a fortnight form now im gonna have two lovely snakes in seperate vivs eating shedding well.they both like being handled already by the look of it.
i agree fluffycorn its crazy how you can get really annoyed over a bit of neglect.but yet so attached to the snake at the smae time x |
