Hi all Last time I was on here, was about my escaped Corn Snake, who escaped form a Komodo starter tank. I contacted them and the reply was so sorry to here but we do lots of tests. Anyway never found it. I got another but my son ended up keeping it as you do. I now have yet another, Candy Cane Female called sophie. I have read some books but none of them actully say at what age a Corn Snake becomes sexual mature. Any help please
sexual maturity is one thing but breedable is another. generally females go on the 3,3's 3ft long 3 years old 300kgs. males can be used earlier most breeders use males 2+ old
Congratulations on getting your new snake. The general rule is as Chris says, I know some breeders do use females younger than 3 years old if they are over 300g but personally I wouldn't. I think the 300g and over 3ft is a bit of a must. If you house a female and male together they can breed when the female is smaller but that can result in egg-binding and possible death
