They are very delicate at that size, I have only handled her a couple of times and then its a case of what she wants to do she does, my main worry is her suddenly legging it (plenty of them to do that) but shes very calm and steady.

tarantula's arnt that bad, before my mum keeping them i was 100% scared of spiders and paranoid everytime the lid was off but now i aint that bad infact i have held a tarantula, got one of my own and live with mums 6 (sure there is 6, however i think my sig is right)
but they are easy to care for as long as you know what you are doing with them and you research that species, chilliens are great first spider and normaly ok to handle (as long as you are very careful etc) and they are pretty aswell.

however when a big black scary spider scurrys across the carpet im then on the ceiling and cobwebs freak me out a lil when walking into them...

I was sitting with my boyfriend last night, when he quietly said, '' Katie can I have your shoe??" it was crawling up the wall and it was horrible. :'(

Ha ha, i do that when i see one in my living room. I usually tell my wife to just keep looking at me until i have dealt with it. Usually catch it in a glass and throw it out.

I actually bought a spider catcher a couple of years back, really don't know how I coped without it!
Went my first rep show last weekend, and there were 100's of spiders for sale. The weird thing is the smaller the tarantula was,the more freaky it looked! A seller got a large black thing out (not sure what it was) to show how calm other species could be. He turned it upside down and stroked its underneath bits, including is fangs and it was really chilled out. Then he turned it the right way round and OMG it was fast....not as fast as me though when i jumped back lol!!

You would just have to point out how that would be the best way to get it squished!
