This is my new snake, it's about a month old the pet store owner said. I purchased it yesterday at a local "exotic pet store". I have a few questions on this snake, as this is my first snake.
- It's very thin so I should cut up the pinkie or just try feeding it whole?
- Do I really have to wait like 3 or 4 days to start holding it or can I hold it tonight? That would make it over 24 hours it's new tank.
- What type of corn snake is it?
- When should I feed it?
- Do I really have to give it a new tank for feeding only?

As long as the pinkie is no bigger than 1.5 times the thickness of the snake it will be fine to feed it whole.
I would allow a week to settle in before handling or feeding but it is just a guide, its your choice but for the sake of a week I'd give it that time.
It looks like a normal to me but I'm not the best at identifying any morphs.
Allow 7 days to settle before feeding.
You can feed them in a different tub or not, its upto you (ultimately its the snakes choice), if you feed them in their normal tub use some kitchen roll or newspaper to cover an area of the substrate and feed it there.

Feed whole, he will manage fine

leave him to settle into his new home, too much handling may cause stress which can lead to him not eating for you
- What type of corn snake is it?
hard to tell from that photo, but at a guesstimate either normal, caramel or rootbeer (cornsnake/emoryi hybrid)

only if you use a loose substrate (aspen, beech, hemp, etc)

we advise on what's best for your snake........
offer a whole pinkie, about 1g in weight
yes leave it for a whole week, it's a living creature not a machine
feed after he's settled in
ideally it'll be on kitchen roll or similar so leave it in it's tub, it will also feel more secure and more likely to feed
