Achatina Fulica - the easiest and most commonly found species, grows to around 3-4 inches shell length. They can be kept in ventilated rubs, aquariums etc with deep soil to burrow in at around 21 - 25 degrees (room temperature unless you have an extremely cold house in which case a stated heat mat for winter is essential). The tank must be sprayed daily to keep the humidity at around 60-70% (I mist once in the morning and once at night)

They are fantastic pets (if supervised) for children as they don't move fast or bite, handling should be done carefully and with moistened hands care should be taken not to drop them.

They eat lettuce, kale, sweet potato, cucumber, strawberry, tomato and much more fruit and veg (full lists can be found on websites about snails) you can also buy mixs of seeds which I find help them grow faster and much bigger.

These babies are around 4 months old (the older hatchlings) and the recent babies are only a week old as they have just hatched. They can all go to homes whenever but I prefer to grow them on a bit to around 4 months so am just looking to see if anyone is interested and the older hatchlings can go now.

They are hermaphrodites and will breed rapidly if more than one is kept together, eggs can be removed and frozen for 24-48 hrs and then discarded if you don't want babies. They will not reproduce until they are sexually mature which is when they are nearer 8 months old (roughly).

Older grown on hatchlings are £2.50 each or all 3 for £6

Smaller hatchlings can be purchased but I would prefer to grow them on and are 50p each.

Albino shelled & albino bodied, Normal shelled and normal bodied, Albino shelled and normal bodied available.

They can be sent via Royal Mail.
I received some in the post a few years ago, and I've lost count of how many I've posted out.
Snails FTW, I've got a nice colony of about 300 of them at the moment because they are great nom nom times for some lizards.

Hi yeah can send them via post, both parents were normal bodied, albino shelled.

At the moment I can only guess as to what the young are as they are tiny, their bodies don't have pigment at the moment so its tough to tell which will be normal bodied and which will be albino bodied but the shells are showing some normal shells and some albino shells.

I plan to grow them on a bit for a couple of months so I can be sure what they are but if anyone feels confident to take hatchlings on thats no prob i just can't 100% guarentee body colour.

They can be sent via 1st class recorded no problem, can post out Monday - Thursday to avoid being stuck in post offices too long. payment can be sent via paypal :) and don't forget I do have 3 more grown on hatchlings which are £2.50 each or 3 for £6 (only 3 of these available and it looks like they are 2 normal bodied normal shelled and 1 albino bodied and albino shelled)

Thanks for looking everyone!

The snails are now around 4mm in shell length and am happy to home them from now still at 50p each. they are happily eating kale, lettuce, carrot, banana, strawberry and cucumber as well as a pre bought snail mix especially designed for baby snails to help them grow as big as possible.

If you would like one sent to you the postage is £5 to anywhere in the UK so PM me :)

this is the parent GAL:

and here's the babies enjoying a lettuce leaf:

There are around 30 babies this is just a select few :)
