been looking through how to breed corns and it said that if i do not cool the snake you have more chances of having infertile eggs....

the one year i did deliberately cool the breeding corns was the year i got b**ger all eggs!!
but in theory, cooling them, warming them up then pairing them up provides the right triggers to (hopefully!) get them breeding successfully |

i dont cool mine, ive found it works just fine without them been brumated, in the wild they would only brumate (hibernate) in the colder areas, in warmer areas they would be active all year round, but must manage to breed or corn snakes would not exist in these areas |

Cooled mine this year and the first clutch I got was 32 eggs , 4 being slugs , had quite a few people say thats a massive clutch .
So I would think it just depends on the snakes wether they want to breed or not and clutch sizes . |
One last jump , that's all we have to take Holth . Wearily the old queen gathered heself to spring ; Moreta gratefully began her litany . Black , blacker , blackest - They went between . |
