| I use a spot lamp and a UVB strip light in my skinks vivs. Do they need to have a daylight tube as well so that it is brighter in the vivs or is this just something people use for there own viewing benefits. Thanks |

Daylight tube is something purely for our benefits really.
To be honest the UVB should give out enough light for viewing, although that would also depend on how it's setup. |

| Viewing for us is fine with just the UVB and the spot, I was more concerned that its ok for the skinks but I guess that as long as there is a difference between night and day that its ok? |

they'll get enough light through your window (providing the curtains aren't permanently shut!) to get a day/night/seasonal cycle
and providing you're using the correct %age UVB that's that requirement met  |
cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos
