If snakes especially younger snakes like being in a SMALL, faun, rub, viv. Then why would they want to escape in to a huge room?
I know no one can really answer that, its one of the daft things that go through my mind! as i have read about so many escapes.

Because they are nosy wee blighters.

They aren't escaping with the express aim of being in a bigger space, they are just attempting to explore their surroundings. Once out, the majority can be found in a small place, or at least heading for one.

I have it easy. I tried to put one on my floor the other day and it was too slippy so she just wiggled for a bit. If one gets out I know they can't leave my bedroom. There are no holes and laminate flooring in all the other rooms...

I better touch wood
