I'd heard that corns arn't generally climbers, i think i might have a climber - he's still in a medium faun but thought i'd jazz it up a bit with some foliage - i think he likes it as he's climbed to the top and been there for the last couple hours

Regardless of them being ground dwelling snakes, I totally agree that they like a bit of a climb! Mine are always perched somewhere above ground :)

I think it just depends on the individual corn. Mine can generally be found curled up on his vine at the top of his tank and is constantly exploring, climbing up plants, etc. But my sister-in-laws corn hasn't climbed since the day she got him as a hatchling (about 12yrs ago). She ended up taking everything out of the viv leaving him with just newspaper and a water bowl as he spends all his time under the newspaper and the viv furniture was getting in his way.

ooh i like the idea of the hammock, will have to remember that for when he moves up into a big viv. I suppose they're a bit like humans, some like heights and the thrills whilst others don't.

my monty prefers teh ground, he has so many places for him to climb in his 4ft viv, but prefers to hide under his cork bark. every now and then youll walk in and hell be at the front of the viv on top of his branch waiting for you to get him out, but apart from that, he prefers the floor although it must be hard for him to get all 4ft and 450g of him up there lol

Aww bless, its lovely to see them exploring isn't it.
All of mine climb, particularly Falcor. He spends a lot of his time exploring and snoozing on his vine.

Loving the climbing pictures. Horatio also likes to climb, he las a wooden platform from the rabbit section of the pet shop made of wood that gives him a shelf and a hammock, he loves both.
Will get some pics but he goes in to his new viv this week, not the one he came from the rescue with, so will have better pictures then :)

Indeed snakes do like to climb but it all depends on the snake and their species, arborial snakes such as my tree pythons and emerald boas love climbing in their vivs, example this is Sasha my red tree python
