My hatchie Bill keeps musking on me every time i hold him but never on anyone else also hes started to eat while his tail is wrapped round my hand so today i tried feeding him without the tub just while i was holding him and he did it, is this normal behaviour cos our other snakes dont do this?

although feeding in your hand may seem sweet it's also a great way to end up getting tagged!

and musking is a defence mechanism to say 'leave me alone' or 'i'm scared'.........if it IS musking maybe you need to address your handling skills?

Never had a corn musk on me. Had my hognose and my milk snake do it. Both while first with me and were not used to being handled.

I Just made sure I handled them little and often, to get them used to me. The milk is still a bit skitish but has stopped musking and the hognose is great now, calm and relaxed when held and no musking.
