I fed 2 pinkies last Sunday and STILL can't find any evidence. Should I be getting worried yet? |

a few things, what temps do you have in the housing, also they have been known to hold everything in when a shed is on its way. |

One of mine waits a week to do his and usually does it in his feeding tub before chomping his meal. Disgusting boy |

Didn't want to start yet another poo thread...
I just pulled 2 pinkies out the freezer ready for Pandora's feed tomorrow, but I've still not seen any evidence of her last meal. I've checked her hides, under the log, under the rock, the foliage and substrate, but nothing!
Hopefully a couple more won't do any harm tomorrow and will help to push the old ones out... Getting a bit worried coz I've seen no evidence at all of any toilet since I got her 10 days ago.

May have been totally empty when she arrived with you, what goes in on feeding day is not what comes out 2 days later. If he has skipped a meal or two it will take a little while to restock. I always thought it was a 2 day turnover but was advised otherwise on here by someone (sorry cant remember who, though it was a knowledgable person) and it was confirmed when Spot went off food, he continued to poo even though he didn't eat anything and then took just over a week after starting to eat again to start pooing again. Add in the fact they can hold it in and its nothing to worry about though expect to see something soon. |

ok thanks. :) Hopefully there will be some, erm, 'movement' very soon then. She seems very healthy otherwise so hopefully tomorrow's feed will help to open the gates... :) |

Maybe you have missed it in the substrate. When they go it looks alot of poop but if its allowed to dry its surprising how little there is. I have used beech chip for my youngsters in the past and it was almost impossible to find any poop, even now at 8 months old i can easily miss it. Kitchen towel is ideal if you are not sure about the pooping, very easy to find it on kitchen towel. |
