Well, managed to feed littlest hatchling this evening. He turned his nose up at it yesterday but tbh the pinkie was a big exploded-looking so he's probably just a snake of taste and refinement Nice shiny plump pink one this evening and went down just fine. Of course he wouldn't eat when we were watching so I ended up covering him up with a towel and it was gone in a couple of minutes. Not fair - I want photos!
He's an absolute scream, feisty little thing who strikes at anything that hangs around long enough and seems to think he's a rattle snake. He tagged me earlier in the week and it's like being gummed to death by a toddlers toothbrush. You should have heard his tail against the side of the faun earlier! Chilled right down once he was being handled tho. One of my dogs is just like that - barks and growls at anyone who comes through the door while very carefully standing behind me so she's nice and safe. He's like 'I'm big and fierce, don't mess with me' which then turns into 'oh it's you, the food person. Feel free to adore me'
Amazing little personality in such a little shoelace. He's only about 16" long! |

That describes him perfectly. You'd think he was a king cobra the way he carries on! |
