Hello, I have recently become the proud "dad" of a baby Californian Corn Snake, He is red towards his head and violate towards his tail. When i was looking for my new pet, I seen a few of his brothers and sisters who where all mainly red head to toe, as he stood out from the crowd, I was quick to snap him up!
The pet shop assistant said his color may fade slightly when he grows up but will still be two toned, I have since spoken to a few people and some say he will loose the violate tail end and become red head to toe,
Can anyone give me a definite answer to this?

| check www.iansvivarium.com for your morph and look at the different pictures for hatchlings to adults. Only time will tell how much the colours will change though. |

i think you mean Carolina rather than Californian - don't worry I made the same mistake!
generally carolinas (or normals) start as a sort of greyish colour with red/orange saddles and then as they grow the grey changes to a orange/red shade so they do look more redish all over but theres no set shade for them to develop - my Mont has a lot of pale orange/yellowish shades to his sides and some flecks of white whereas others can be a more solid orange shade  |
