is there much difference between them? will the temp stat be ok controlling a 7w heat mat? shop is out of stock on the mat stat but have the temp stats in stock, and need a thermostat asap.

The habistat temperature stat is a simple on off stat that (and dont quote me on this) can be used on heat mats and ceramic heaters. A Mat-stat does what it says on the tin. I would get the mat-stat for mats as there are far better stats available for ceramics and bulbs etc. I have three mat-stats and all work perfectly.

They are exactly the same except a temp stat has a maximum wattage of 300W, and a mat stats maximum is 100W. |
