I just came to give buzz his first feed and it was all goin fine til he noticed me lookin then he spat it out (he was three quarters through the bloody thing) and got into a vey defensive position so i stepped away presuming that because its his first feed with me and the pet shop told me he was on fuzzies i thought
maybe it was too quick and i should get him some pinkies. Ten minutes later I come back and hes eaten it! lol Just didnt wanna be watched is that normal?

Perfectly normal. Most of mine eat while I watch but Izzy will only eat when it's dark in his own viv. Peanut can be a bit temperamental too. In time Buzz will probably let you watch him, he just needs to get used to this big thing that moves suddenly near him lol

Mine doesn't seem to mind me watching him eat, but for his last feed my neighbour came in to watch. He struck at the mouse and constricted fine but then let go of it with his mouth, though stayed coiled tightly around it (obviously scared his defrosted mouse might run away, lol), and just stared at my neighbour, his head following her as she moved. He stayed like that for a full 5mins, until she gave up and left, at which point he went back to his meal.

Corn snakes are wary of anything or anyone new and it can take them a while to get used to things. The chances are that once Buzz has settled in properly and had a few feeds with you he'll feel more relaxed about eating with you watching, but unfortunately there is no guarantee that he will.

I know it may not be of much comfort but at least he did eat the mouse once you left him alone. As with what happened with one of Sta~ple's snakes, they can get so freaked out that they won't go back to the mouse at all.

Medusa seems to enjoy people watching her, her first feed with me I she took it and as she was trying to swallow it turned around to show everyone her mouth and half a mouse poking out. After that my parents have steered well clear when it's feeding time!
Buzz may let you watch him when he feels a little more 'comfortable' with you being around! :)
