We got our leopards today :D
They are both just over a year old. And we are so chuffed with them.
The male is longer than the female, weighs a bit more, but his tail is a lot thinner than hers.
Is this quite normal? We've been doing loads of reading up but can't find anything about tail size difference. Just wanna check there is nothing to worry about really :) have put a pic of his tail up too

I detect a True Blood fan here I'm not very well up on leopard geckos. Could it be that males have thinner tails or maybe Bill has regrown his? Doesn't look like a regrowth but like I say I'm no expert. I'm sure someone with more experience will come along. Sorry I'm no use. Ps. They are lovely. |

Eric, Jason and Adlice are better looking . As for tail Size Google and Wiki have lots of information on this. I just typed in Do male leopard gecko's have thinner tails. |

I used to keep Leopard geckos for about 10 years, and I can say that the tails are not regrows.
The tail is used to store fat, so the males tail is holding less fat than the females.
Nothing to worry about at all there! |
