Wow 3 large mice?
That seems like a hell of a big feed for a slender bodied snake.
I would try changing that slowly if I was you to perhaps 1 weaner rat every 7 days which is what my big fella was on.

im still considering rehomeing the large female but will wait and see how they settle in first.
is a adult female of any value to a breeder or just as a pet.

I'd stick with 14 days then, just bigger food and not as many! It's nice that they are friendly though :) they may feel cold to you as your hand temprature maybe in the 30's which is normally colder than they are.

I wouldn't feed rat's, I'd stick to mice personally although there are some on here that do feed rats. With rats you have to feed less often normally, or feed smaller rats.

Edit: The girl would end up being a pet, as nasty as it sounds no breeder would probably want her as she's a normal unless she's got some amazing hets.

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

Just to sort of add/edit to my previous post, if they are happily eating mice then keep them on mice, my point with weaners was thats the only one I know of that size lol.
Not sure of the mouse equal to a weaner rat.
But I would suggest more regular perhaps less prey item offered each feed.
In my experience it's the best way.

Only time I've ever heard of feeding corns snakes rats is if they are under weight. If you feed them rats they are more likely to get fat. But feeding 3 mice a fortnight will probably have the same effect.

I would reduce to just 1 of the biggest suitable mouse possible every 14 days and monitor their weights, at their age they should be holding a steady body weight, at the moment its likely they are still gaining weight fast, too much for their frame to sustain and the result of that is a snake with a fat ass.

ive just fed the male 1 medium mouse. WOW i've never seen a snake eat before. It's very fast at constriction and even faster at swallowing a whole mouse.

i'm going to leave him in is feed box for an hr or two and then do the female with one mouse later.WOW

Glad you enjoyed it. I think feeding time is one of the best parts of snake ownership.......unless you own a non eating Royal of course lol

grats on your snakes dude! guess you are cohabiting them then? (sorry, i read the whole thread but seem to have missed a bit somewhere!) i got my corns in avery similar fashion to you and mine are doing great! just to let you know, i feed my little one (a female-maybe 4 ft but skinny) 2 med mice and my full grown male 2 large mice. both fortnightly. just thought that might help as a guide, corns put on weight fast but dont lose it easily so be careful not to overfeed! ;) good luck buddy!
