What do you think of these as hides for my snakes?

I bought them today in my local Poundland and thought they might be great for hides or even just something for them to explore.

They are ceramic, I have checked them over, no rough or sharp bits and given them a good wash out.

What do you think? The boot one has a hole in the bottom so if I put it on it's side they could slide through it.

they are cool yeah. not sure if they'll fit in the remote control though, plus you might need it...y'know, to turn the telly over.

Good thinking, will keep the remote out then! lol

I thought for a quid each you can't go wrong really. Propper hides are so expensive!

yeah ive had to make one for serendepity (out of a large yellow tub) it looks awful but does the job. yours will look kinda cool and quirky! the pre made ones (exoterra snake cave etc are great but they dont really seem big enough for anything but the smallest snakes! and as you say they are sooo expensive!

Mine just have plastic tubs or loo roll tubes and to be honest they seem fine in them but I just though these were cool :)

I also bought some fake flowers for them. Miles cheaper than proper reptile plastic plants and they also look great. Gotta love Poundland :)

Cool - but can I add a small caution about the hole in the boot?? It's fine when they are small - or way too big to fit through it - but there will come a time when they can JUSt fit though it. Then they will only NEARLY fit through it - and I have had in my professional life had to extract a snake from a flower pot with an osteotome and bone chisel (basically a very expensive hammer and chisel)!

Mine love their exoterra extra large hides, got two extra large ones and a large one in their viv BUT they insist on sharing the same one. I'm worried they might be 'friend of dorothy' snakes

Awwww love them! Especially the trainer what a fab idea! I was going to get Vin an exoterra snake cave but might just get a plant pot and turn it upside down for him

Spot loves his exo terra snake cave but only if the moss is in it. Doesn't go near if its empty. Point to note is they are solid at the bottom and a pig to heat when using a heat mat.

As they are both nearly 5ft i thought getting them separate ones was a good idea. Obviously not - bad girls
