charlie has shed recently about 4 days ao and his shd went extremely well :) but im concerned as there is about and inch of his tail still and id like to know how to get it off,as charlie moves around alot so putting his tail in warm water isnt easy-some people said that leaving the tail to drop off is fine but i think its wrong...

Nimbus did exactly the same. I was able to gently slide the last bit off with wet hands but have a read of this as it may help.

Bathing in the link Louise gives defiebtly works :) plus it means you know it's come off then rather than waiting a few days maybe for the damp hide to work :D

I find holding some quite damp kitchen towel and letting them run through it while appying slight pressure works. I have also had them out and dangled their tail in a glass of slightly warm water, they dont seem to object to this at all.
