Some of you know about my poor little Caramot who hasn't been feeling well. For those who don't here's her background:

I bought her from a breeder beginning of October, she's a 2007 Caramel Motely and is about 4 ft long and weighed 263 grams. After getting her I noticed she was defecating quite frequently, so kept an eye on her. She started losing some weight and going off her food a bit, so I brought a fecal down to my vet. He called the next week with the results of no parasites, so I asked if I could bring her in... during the exam he thought he heard labored breathing, and thought an RI was possible... so, Baytril... injected in her prey once a week for 3 weeks.

As of Thursday, absolutely no change and she's still losing weight!! She's down to 210 grams now, and looks so skinny Once again I ring the vets and get her down there for a look over and for him to perform an "enema" basically. He flushed her cloaca with a saline solution and massaged the vent area to get a fresh sample to test again. Positive for Trichmona and Coccidia. He gave her 0.4 cc of Metronidazole there, and I'm going back in every two weeks for the next month for two additional doses, and for a final fecal in a month's time.

I noticed her moving about a bit more the past few days (she's been in different spots in her viv) and usually when I've fed her, I've had to put her in a smallish sized RUB with the prey and cover it up for her to eat. Tonight, I dangled a medium mouse in front of her and WHAM! Struck and Coiled!!

So happy right now! Glad she's starting to feel bettter, and hopefully it continues!

Thanks

She's never been a strike feeder with me, so this is definitely a sign she's starting to feel better. I called my husband down when she did it, "You have to see this, it's so beautiful!!". Very proud of her
