So, tonight I was munching on an omelette for my dinner and a random thought occurred to me. I did some research but haven't been able to find a definitive answer. So here it goes.
Do female corns sporadically lay eggs without having been mated or do they only lay eggs when they've been mated with?

Yes it has been known for females to lay eggs without mating. Obviously they will not be fertilised though. |

... My train of thought DID wander that way Louise. I think that's what put me off the rest!!
@gmac: Is it a common occurrence or a 'every once in a while' sort of thing? |

its not every day you see it , some will lay sporadically some will lay every year. But not all females will lay so I wouldnt say it is all that common |

I'm crossing fingers I don't have to go through that with Loki (don't know the gender). My bird does it a lot and gets rather friendly with her perch, does my head in!! Hmm,snake egg omelette.....interesting!! |
