It is a long time since i kept corn snakes, but this year i have a pair of snow corns that i plan to breed.
So, can someone please tell me if it is the right time to brumate my pr, do i turn the heat down now, if so, to what temperature???
Many thanks.

Marg.

i thinks corns breed well without brumation, but if you are, your going to need to completely clear there system of all food first which would mean no feeding for a few weeks then a gradual drop in temps or the food will rot and the snake will die.

it is the time of year to start thinking about cooling them but i'm trying to keep mine feeding till the end of this month, then its important to allow 2 weeks at normal temps to let the last meal clear through their system then i start gradually dropping the temps

Our pair breed without brumation at all, which was how we found out they were male and female.....Funny story, we are going to separate them next year for a month or so to avoid eggs for a 3rd year in a row, also as our pair are 1/2 brother and sister....(same Dad, a snow), but that is how we got such lovely babies :) xx

Hey Marg, this a belated hello. I remember you from the Rankins forum but hadn't realised you were on here now. How long you had your snows? Sorry about Charlie, hope things work out for you with the breeding.
