i bought a new 18 months JCP the other day, beautiful snake and awesome personality, he is a high yellow but all of a sudden his yellows have gone very dark, his scales almost look like they've been smudged with dirt and he's started hissing alot more than usual.. someone please tell me he's just shedding?

could well be my OH's JCPs are always out on display with the exception of when they're in blue, it's the only time they use their hides even if yours is still out and about the colour change would be indicative of shedding
