how many hours do you keep vivarium lights on during the day and what times? |

i only regulate my day geckos' daylight hours with their lights on a timer, all the snakes just 'go with the season' and have natural light through the windows |
cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

My snakes don't have lights. Like gingerpony's they just have natural daylight through the windows. |

My snakes just have natural light although i do have lights in their vivs they only go on while I spot clean |

I have my light on 12 hours through the day. But thats my heat source so its kind of a requirement. As long as you dont keep it light through the night, they wont appreciate that and will become stressed. |

Some of my lights are on ish, 24 hours a day!! most snakes dont need lights though, only really bigger bodied tropical animals, and thats only really to prevent and nasty accidents involving the heatmat. If you are trying to acheive a daylight cycle, then simply turn you light on when it gets light, and off when its dark, best light cycle around!! |

I turn mine on when I get up in the morning and off when I go to bed in the evening. Nothing set routinely usually on about 7am and off around 11pm.... Just because It looks better no other reason its not a heat source |
