True story just happened. In the middle of a conversation my husband says, "Are you sure you don't want a big snake?" "I'd LOVE a boa one day", says I, "but we don't have the room for the bigger viv". Turns out he was actually being a bit rude and not talking about reps at all.

Loving this topic, I am really new to snakes, always had frogs before, but I am guiltly of at least 2/3 of the things said on here, eg the pinkies on the shelf with the pizza and peas, in a tupperware box of course. And looking out for interesting things to make hides out of, mushroom containers being the favourite atm. And worrying cos our little baby amel won't eat as fast as our 6 month old anery. Just don't ask me the last time the children ate though cos I couldn't say but I know days and times of eating, pooing and shedding of my two snake babies .

........When you decide that your 7x7ft bed is taking up valuable viv space and skip it and buy a small bed.

Although I am now considering buying a bunk/cabin bed as well because the footprint of my bed is taking up valuable viv space now.
I wonder if I could just sleep in my chair at my desk........

When your baby cousin is born on the snake's feeding day and your first thought is 'I need to feed the snake' rather than have a cuddle with the new little one.

I have been sat here for two weeks looking at the small willow tree in my front garden and trying to get the oomph together to go and cut it down because it is getting on my nerves...this afternoon I had a brainwave and decided it would make some very nice climbing frames for my babies....there is now no longer a willow tree in my garden but I do have lots of lovely bent and twisted pieces of wood ready for sanding and baking

I've got a bath full of branches at the moment soaking in Milton. Went for a walk in the woods - watched some fox cubs playing outside their den and then went foraging for viv furniture. Great minds think alike .

When you go away for 5 days and all you can think about is your sankes and if they are ok/should you have taken them with you.
Then the first thing you do on your return is go round checking on them all and get all teary when you get your fave out and tell him how much you've missed him and that you love him!!!!

When you rearrange your lounge to fit in the new 3ft viv and find you now have enough space to fit in two extra rubs. Oh and look I have an empty rub and an empty faun, or dear what shall I do? And the fish are banished to the kitchen cos they take up too much room

when you sit there and have a full conversation with your snakey, asking why did they not eat their tea, and when are they next planning to shed? also are they going to go round the nice clean faun you just set up and trash it ^^
