Does anyone have a link to a site for LED's? I want to put some in my enclosure but I want to make sure that they won't get to hot for Aries. I've looked on EBay and found a couple but they are for fish tanks. Just want to be safe with it.

I use these kind of things http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-BATTERY-OPERATED-LED-PUSH-LIGHTS-PEEL-STICK-/170547137286?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Lighting_Lamps_Lighting_SM&hash=item27b566cb06#ht_500wt_1156
They stick on using something like sticky fixers onto the back of the battery cover. To replace the batteris all you ahve to do is twist the the body of it off, replace batteries and twist back on.

I have one in each viv and it's a bit hard to see in a 4ft viv so 2/3 would work well.

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

That's awesome I like those as well. Great responses ladies and gents! I'll definitely post a pick of what I get when I do. I'm thinking of going with blue, green, or red....

I bought something for my stack that is a bit unusual, yet is perfect.
The LED bulbs were the priciest, but having had a max temp of 28c from them means that they are perfectly safe.
I shall get piccys later and links to where I bought the bits.

we use these , i believe its the same supplier as clintham's link only we got the single strip as our current viv is only 2 ft

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLUE-SINGLE-FLEXIBLE-LED-LIGHTING-KIT-15-LED-/190450653641?pt=UK_HomeGarden_Lighting_Lamps_Lighting_SM&hash=item2c57be59c9

the housing is part of the strip and very flexible as its rubber, theres also a 5 postion switch on the transformer for altering the voltage which acts like a dimmer

heres a shot of the viv with the lights on with the switch on position 3

0.1.0 - Amel Corn - Amber
1.0.0 - Carolina Corn - Sid
0.0.1 - Striped Cali King - Kong
0.1.0 - Miami Corn - Mimi

Hey Staple, I've been curious about the battery operated ones...just wondering on average how long do you leave the light on per day & how often do you need to change the batteries?

No, it comes in 3 sections so would fit either a 1-4ft viv depending on how many sections you connected. It only has the one plug unit, so for 3 vivs you would need 3 sets

To note I use some called Dioder from Ikea - http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00202324/ and have two sets, one for each of my 4ft vivs. You could possibly stack some smaller vivs on each other and use one strip per viv, depending on the size of the vivs as the Dioder ones split apart into four sections and (while they'll all be the same colour and on/off at the same time) operate independently. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/search/?query=dioder - lots of different options with Ikea at the moment, maybe get yourself to a store if you can and see what would suit you best - we were in heaven when we got to their LED lighting section.
