Firstly, i am NOT a panicker:P I infact, i'm probably a bit too laid back with the snakes! ''Ah they're fine!'' is pretty much my motto.. But anyways, here are the photos i was talking about it my other post.
This is the hide
This is the only bit of her i could see/feel
After trying to tempt her out with a mouse (it was feeding time when i discovered her) - i realised she was VERY stuck. So i got the saw out! She is in the left hand side.
Made a shallow hole to try see her more clearly. (didnt work)
Got my saw on again!
Got frustrated and decided to see could i snap it a bit with a pliers
it worked! When i poked her she was rock solid and couldnt move an INCH!
Lots of olive oil, and more very careful pliers work! :)
Just look how much of her body is out, and how tight the rest still is!
Wipe off all that oil :P (excuse the state of my clothes, i was all horsey)
30 seconds later, after being very loudly sawed out....
fatty!
One of Hugo for good measure!

Wow! How did she get in there? Through the "chimney"?
Too bad about the hide - it looked awesome...
The good thing about the olive oil is that she looked shiny on her way out xD |

Yep through the chimney! Dont know how she got through the roofy bit though, it was very narrow and lumpy on the inside! I wiped off as much oil as i could with some kitchen roll so i wonder is it ok for her skin? Didnt really want to wash her after traumatising her already! Although i dont think she'd mind too much seeing as how she jumped on her mouse so quick :P |

Couldn't imagine that the oil should be a huge problem... Olive oil isn't very sticky - think she'll get it off just by moving though her substrate :)

Just read your thread in the general post forum. I didn't expect the hid to be that small! I'm glad that you managed to get her out without hurting her, well done |

Wow she was well and truely stuck in there. I think that is a good example of how tight a space corns can get into |

Like everyone else I was expecting a small snake out of there!!! Will definitely make me inspect every hide/ornament I buy for my snake! Glad to see Spunk wasn't phased by it though! |

I bought it as a decoration, presuming she'd go UNDER it! Didn't think it was possible for her to her to get in that hole at all! She's 100% now:) sitting in her hammock digesting her mousie! She doesn't get bothered by things really! Sawing her out and snapping the hide made some amount of noise too lol. She's a trooper. A trooper with a very boring, and very safe cardboard box hide! Haha |
