how long can a hatchling corn go without eating i had 8 healthy babies this year and i have already sold 7 as they have eaten 4 times at least. But one will not eat, no matter what i try, i have tried braining, leaving the pinkie in the tub al night, assist feeding(which worked last year on a hatchling). it hatched on the 12th of august. Last year one died as it didnt eat but it was born alot smaller than the others but the snake this year looks a decent size. Any advice?

You could also try soaking it in tuna juice (tuna from a tin btw), I read on another forum that it sometimes works.

Good luck.

Best wishes

Try a car ride if they don't work. Mine lived for 3 months without ever eating, and one was born very tiny! But it all does depend on each snake really.

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

Just a quik update, saw on a site this week about trying funny eaters with mice tails so I gave it ago and cut a tail in half and gave the thicker end to the snake, opened it's mouth with it and after a minute the snake started swallowing it, at least it's some sort of nutrients, il try again at the weekend with a pinkie

The vibrations from car journeys sometimes help to 'stir-up' a snakes digestive enzymes (so the theory goes anyway) which tends to make them more likely to eat.
From what I know there is no definite research into the matter, but a massive amount of snake keepers find that the car journey thing tends to do the trick.

heating with a hairdryer and wafting the smell in her direction triggered her feeding instincts..
i also used the tail method and then pinkie parts which had to be given with a bit of help..
aura went for about 3.5/4months without a feed..
