is this when a corn has a stripe running down its back which then turns to a motley pattern and then a stripe again?

its when motley looks like stripe, but different people will have different boundaries aas to when a motley becomes a pinstripe. One of mine has a very messy stripe but is motley - I wouldn't call it pinstripe, but others would:

to me thats what i think of when people say their snake is a motley stripe
