Has anyone else got the exo terra viv with the two opening doors at the front?
If you do, and if you have the polystyrene background, does your snake go behind the background? if it does, how do you stop it!? haha

also, a question about tank temp. My tank is always 81-82 degrees on the warm side, yet Doyle never goes there...I fed him yesturday and he spent an hour max in his warm cave, then went to lie in the cool. Do you think maybe he dislikes it so hot? :S I don't know...?

Oooh! I have three
They dont have snakes though... one of my baby crested geckos loves going behind it though - sort of gluing it in place and/or blocking up the gaps some how i dont think theres anything you can do!

As long as your temps are right (which they seem to be ) and Doyle is pooping like he should be then its probably safe to assume that he knows what he is doing lol

I was gonna stick it down, but then I felt like I was taking toys away from a baby...haha
He also likes to climb on top of it, because it leans forward slightly he does this.....

He tries to crawl all the way across but falls everytime. Usually waking me up with a massive THUD haha

I think he will get to big to fit ontop of it soon, he has logs and trees and everything and decides to climb on the most difficult thing! :')

Haha he did take it down once. I woke up and the background was like, diagnonally sprawled across his viv. with his head just poking over the top like 'HOORAH'

LOL!! Thats well funny!

I've got the same Exo Terra tank as you. Izzy has outgrown her little faun so I let her out into the main tank last night (with a bit partitioned off as she's still a bit too small for it). Within 90 minutes of getting in there she'd made her way behind the background and then spent the night behind it!

I blocked it up today with a 99p black face cloth from ASDA; she didn't seem too happy but it keeps her where she's meant to be!

OH he looks as though he loves the climb. I have one of those for my stick insects, I didnt think I would be able to use those for snakes becasue of the mesh top. What size is your exo terra, is it one of the tall ones or long ones?

Its 24'' length x 18'' height I think
He's only a year old so he has more than enough room in there, I'm hoping he will last a long time in there though because it cost £105 ...talk about breaking my bank! haha :') anything for my little fella though :D

oh also, why did you think the mesh top would be a problem? He can't get through it or anything :)

Over the last two weeks i've been looking on different forums and websites looking at corns and vivs extensively. For the size of the viv you have that seems rather expensive mate.

It's an exo terra one that's why :\
I could've got it cheaper online but it's difficult with the postage and stuff because my house is usually empty in the day and i always have trouble getting me packages so I just brought it from a store.

Don't always go by name brands as they can be a rip off.

For that same price you paid, ypu could have got a 72X24X24.The tank you brought you could have got it for £30 and this is with a solid back aswell and not flatpacked either.I was going to get a second hand one off Ebay but alot of times they are over priced.I've seen some cracking vivs hand built and far cheaper then shop brand ones.
Do you use other forums?

I didn't necessarily want an exo terra one, but I had a limited amount of space and it was the only tank that was going to fit where it HAD to go, there was nowhere else for it :\
The only reason I paid that was because it was convenient. It wasn't flat pack either, and if I'm honest I do love the tank. :)

Oh and I don't use any other forum either ^.^

I paid £100 for my exo terra viv and it's the larger one to yours but thats cos it was second hand from a mate. A rather good buy and it looks awesome in my spare room!

I was worrying about heat loss through the mesh thats all, listened too much to the reptile shop when I bought mine I think
