Missed Cleo shedding her skin again and this was my best chance yet!
Its feed day and knew she was in shed so just decided to give it a go, she was being funny with the fuzzie so left her with it in her feeding tub for 5 mins. Came back and there was one complete shed! I was gutted! I'm sure they're sneaky and wait till you've gone! Little bugger. |

They do, they do!
Awkward little gits!
I was waiting all last night and she still hasn't shed! Like you I'm checking all th time, and you can bet she'll do it the minute I take my eyes off her ...
Snakes, eh? Still, we love them! |

Must add, I've been very lucky - have managed to see my snakes shedding loads of times, chiefly because I notice the cats watching the viv - it's amazing! |

Ha, this time I won!
Just going to bed last night, last check on Cy, caught her sneaking along the side of the viv. I swear the little devil had noticed me closing down the laptop and switching off the fishtank lights!
She got her own back, though. She went behind her piece of mopani root and shed there, like a shy lady changing into her cozzie on the beach. At one point a little head peeked out, crowned with a 'bonnet' of shed, complete with its one 'spectacle', and eventually a nice shiny snake appeared, leaving a perfect shed behind! |

Hi, Marg, no she didn't. I've never known them to do this - even my royal hasn't, and apparently they usually do - AND discharge a little blood from the vent Mind you, my Shahi (royal) has only had one shed with me, AND I had to assist him and the shed was all caught in his vent ... if he'd discharged any blood I would have been ...well! Horrified isn't the word - would have definitely thought I'd hurt him...
He's shedding again - this time, now his eyes have cleared, he's getting gentle daily baths - and I will be prepared for any eventualities ... |
