I have a male Carolina, approx 12/15 months old, and i'm picking up a new female Snow tomorrow, almost 2 yrs old (and three times the size!). Is it safe to introduce them to eachother, if so, when and how should i do it??
JUST TO CLARIFY; they are being housed seperately and i have no intention of breeding them! (just so i don't get told off for cohabiting them!) lol

introducing them to each other is probably not the greatest idea, particarly not at first - your new snake may have diseasles so you need to make sure they're seperate and that you wash your hands thoroughly between handling them to avoid passing it to your carolina. Snakes are solitary creatures anyway soprobably would not gain anything from 'meeting' each other, other than perhaps your male getting the horn, which you don't want until your female is at least 300g,3ft and 3 years old, but if you do still want to introduce them you'll need to keep a close eye on them both and I'd wait at least a few weeks to prevent any diseasles :)

An ample quarantine time is recommended before they come into contact. A fair few weeks, 12 is recommended.

What do you mean introduce them??
Its not a good idea no, there is no point, and its not needed, generally corns paths only cross at breeding time, so, with that in mind, your male may try his luck with her, even whilst you are holding them both, which could result in a gravid snake, or, could end up with you having to clear up a sticky mess!!

My advice, don't do it, my males never go near a female unless I fully intend to breed them, anything else is a risk to both snakes health and welbeing.
From a health point of veiw, unless you are totally sure that neither snake has anything infectious, its a bad idea, unless you are certain of both sexes, its a bad idea, even if you are certain, its a bad idea. All round its not recomended.

Young males are not very good at controlling themselves, there's plenty of threads on here to prove that!
