I spoke to the vet last week, and he said to leave her incase she lays, as she did a pre lay shed. (or she shed at least)

She hasn't, but the eggs have become less defined (as in I run my finger over them, and they seem smaller than they were)

She's also lost quite a lot of weight.

She is eating though.

I think it's gonna be an operation to get some rotting eggs out

Ah cr*p, that's bad news. Make sure he does an xray or ultrasound before doing the op, you gotta be sure.
The op will sterilise her also, something to bear in mind.
Really sorry.

stand in Vet did an ultrasound, she was carrying 16 eggs. Now there are 3 small lumps and no discernable eggs.....are snakes known for reabsorbing eggs?after 9 weeks? She'll be going again in 2 weeks for another check up.

http://reptiles-care.blogspot.com/2010/05/do-corn-snakes-lay-eggs-even-if-they.html
according to that website a snake can reabsorb unfertilised eggs although personally i've never come across it.. hope this helps
