I think you are in the right forum..!
The corn snake is the best one, in my opinion!
It's tamer than most of the others..!
That's what i was recommended and got as a beginner!

corns are generally good feeders, good to handle, are hardy and grow to an easily manageable size
boas are pretty much the same but depending on the exact species can grow pretty large so further research on adult size would be needed

cornsnakes, ratsnakes, bullsnakes, boas and day geckos

Corns, some other types of ratsnake, Royals, milks and Kings I think are all regarded as begginer snakes. I think the Corn is more preferred as Royals can get stressy and have problems feedinging, some kings can be very nippy. Also corns come in a huge amount of colours now :)

I would agree a corn for defo but watch cos they are very addictive...like smoking lol...I'm just new to keeping snakes and i have 2 of my own babysitting my nieces one and have 2 royals on hold till Friday lol that was me saying I'm just having 2 corns that will make me happy now I'm just having 2 royals that will make me happy...see the pattern pmsl
