 need great plains rat snake info!

Ahhh the addiction! I want a new snakie and my OH has said i'm allowed! LOL On 1 condition she chooses the snake (fine by me) she likes the great plains rat snake. As i understand there very alike the corn (even related?) just wanted to know if any 1 owns one and what there like in general?

rat snakes and corn snakes are part of the one big happy family, dont have great plains rat snake however i do have 2 black rat snakes, and they are very similar to corns temperament wise, apart from them being more active.

The husbandry is very much th same as for a corn snake.

As GMac said, most of the Pantherophis species have simular care.

great plains can get upto about 5 foot, so very similar corns, other rat snake subspecies can grow larger than this though.

they're a little bit bigger and stockier than corns, but theres really not much in it

As above great plains do get bigger, quite easily hit 6ft and chunky too.
Other than that, they are pretty much the same.
