Im a little confused, I have interest in a snake that is 5 years old and I asked his length they told me he is 114cm or 45in. Isn't that a bit small for a snake this old?

my 8 yr old isn't much bigger due to the previous owners feeding small mice to it for most of its life.

So this could be a normal size? It just seemed weird as I have looked at other snakes of a similair age that are far bigger. Im just concerned that something is wrong.

Its just under 4ft long so its probably only just under "average", it also may be that it has been a little underfed so hasn't grew as large as it potentially could have.

Usually snakes that have been underfed have a growth spurt, as I discovered. but I doubt he'd get to 5ft, probably 4ft something if fed the biggest prey item he can take OK.

I asked what he was being fed and they just said small adult mice, would that be too little for him then? Im sorry I ask so many questions.

Without seeing the snake it is hard to tell, but at that age i would have thought he should have been on bigger mice.

If the age is right its most likely that he is and has been underfed.

What morph is it? I think someone is doing a study on how new morphs are smaller than the older and more classic corns. If I find it I will link.

My snake is just under 4ft, she is a problem feeder but I would certainly never say she was underfed.

Some snakes just don't grow as big as others, its nothing to worry about. I would have though that the snake would be in large mice though.

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

Yep I also have Xena who didnt feed from birth to the age of seven months and she is undersized but defo not underfed now lol jeez if i gave her half the chance she would be eating me out of house and home lol

Editted to add I only fed her two days ago and she is on the prowl now as we speak.

What I am saying is maybe there is a reason he is a bit on the small side. Xena should be on hoppers by now but because of her start she is still on small fuzzes.

I'll go find a link of a majority of the adult corns owned by keepers on here for variation.

Im so glad there is nothing to worry about, he is a butter motley. He must just be a small snake or something then, I just needed some reassurance. Thanks.
