hi.
as owners of 2 corn snakes allready that have no problems we have recently aquired a stray corn snake from our neighbours garden! it is about 4 foot long but very skinny. we bought it 4 baby mice which it ate very quick but over the past few days as the mice have passed through it they have all but one come out whole. any advice greatfully received.. thanx

define 4 baby mice? we talking fuzzies or small mice?
is it possible that its regurgitated 3 of them? feeding 4 in one go is a lot for a snake to handle, especially if theres a chance that he hasnt eaten in a while

hey and welcome btw

If they are coming out whole it is probably regurge. Over what time period did you give him the 4 mice?

A very special super, duper thanks for K :3

thank you for welcoming me.
the mice were small fuzzy's and he has poo'd since we fed him 3 days ago then the one mouse appeared whole in what can only be described as what looks like a sac. is it possible that it can reguritate after that long? as we dont know any history of the snake from before we found him we dont actually know what his diet would have been and that if infact we are feedin him the correct food!
thanx Emma

It may be that he just hadn't had anything to eat in a while and you overloaded his stomach. What you have described sounds like a regurge.

Leave him for 2 weeks and then try him again but with just 1 mouse, maybe of a slightly bigger size.

As above really.

Leave him be for a week or two to settle and give him fresh water. He may just need to settle and if he did regurge it will give him time for his stomach jucies to settle and replenish.

When you next feed him I personally would just give him 1 small meal.
