hi all!
just after abit of info really. Me and the OH really want a male dumerils (as they are smaller when fully grown than the females)! We've held one in leaping lizards in york+if i had the money i would have bought it there+then. Strong and active, but very placid+lovely to look at!
just wondering if anyone here has one+can share any info/tips/advice??
We've been told they get heat from a bulb, obviously with a guard, rather than a heat matt, that they like to climb+that a 4x2x2ft viv would be ok for a 6ft male.....is this right??
Also, any pics would be great!!

Yes a viv that size should be fine, and a bulb and guard would be best to heat as with most big bodied snakes.
Gingerpony has a couple of dumerils,if your on the reptilian you could maybe drop her a PM or something.
They're great snakes. |

| oh that is SO unfair, as we dont have the funds for the snake or bulb, guard, blub fitting, etc now! Damn it, im gonna be SO tempted tho! I did think of Alison when we saw the dumerils because the only time we've made it to the york reptile night i met her there+we were chatting briefly about boas!!! ooo, im gonna be soo tempted!!! |

Like I said she has a couple that are coming up for sale at different ages and will be alot cheaper than LL so that may help you out on the funds side of things... |

| ooooo, dont tempt me!! Altho, i could ask my rents for birthday money early! *thinks* do u know how big hers are? we were wanting to get one that was big enough to go straight into the viv, as we wont have the space for another small faunarium? |
