You got ages before you really need to worry, but keep trying and keep an eye on weights, it will drop but if its loads really quick then get him checked and a poo sample done. |

That must have been an awesome experience Aaron....and a shock! But it doesnt quite explain why he went for 3 weeks without eating.
You say he has lost a bit of weight....do you weigh him? If not then it would be a good idea to start so you have a record of what is going on.
Please let us know how his next feed goes and if still no luck then fill us in on all the info you can about him and his set-up. You can also check out this thread that is really helpful with non-feeders - http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3720
For now we will watch this space and hope that Harley gobbles down his next meal.

yes it was a really strange sight seeing his skin peel away, it felt really sticky at first and dried out in less than a minute
tried him with a medium mice today and he came out and ate it straight away, maybe he had a problem with shedding and we helped him along when we handled him?
has put my mind to ease as i thought he may have been ill but he looks nice and shiny now that old skin has come away
thanks all for your advise |
