That is fantastic news Nova ....you definitely have a very understanding mum, but then you must be a pretty good daughter for her to say that you can do what you like ....it works both ways!!

Wish I could swap your mum for my OH !!! My mum is like Herriotfan's and KdLang's....just cannot understand my love for my snakes and I know that if I was living at home (moved out over 20yrs ago) there is no way I would be getting a snake under her roof! There was enough of a battle when my dad sneaked a ****atiel in to keep me company when I was ill. She refused to come into my bedroom after that....and she hates snakes more than she hates birds!

Hope you are going to put up some pics of your new hoggie when you get it....and have you checked out our sister site yet - http://www.thehognosesnake.co.uk/?

He has some lovely colours Nova, although it is a bit hard to tell what his markings are like as he is moving so fast !

I cant get over the fact that your mum is scared of snakes but is happy for you to have them. I love the fact you regard her as your best friend....I just hope and pray I have that sort of relationship with my daughter when she reaches your age and I can stop being the 'monstrous mum' who has to lay down the law all the time !

Happy birthday by the way. When was it and what did you do for it?
