Oh no, poor thing.

The only thing I can think of is maybe a haemorrhage.....

What are your temperatures?
Set up?
How old was he?

I have to say now, you will get a lot of comments about co-habiting. It's generally agreed on this forum that it's a bad idea, especially if they're opposite sex. There are so many things that could go wrong.

My suggestion is take him to a vet, because if it was an infection or something, then your female may have it as well.

Best plan, post pics on here (preferably this thread) so we can see.

Upload to photobucket, then paste the image link onto your reply.

Sorry for your loss

Have a good look for (very) small scratches and scales that look like they've been moved. More so on his head anywhere and around his neck.

Unfortunately only a post mortem will give any answers to why your snow died. Definetly take your other to the vets for a check up, there may be an infection or parasites involved.

As above, take it to the vet for a proper PM, we can only speculate, a vet will give you a definitive cause.
Only thing to remember, dont freeze him before taking to the vets, they cant do much with a frozen snake, even if its really stinky, they prefer that to frozen.
Chilled is ok, but not frozen.
