he should be called houdini, not kasey!
was vaccing up earlier today when by the back door i found what looked like snake poo. i thought it couldn't be and maybe someone has brought bird poo in on their shoe (my back door leads straight into the living room). anywho, i cleaned it up and thought nothing more of it and off i went to the dentist. came home a couple of hours later which i wasnt going to do but so glad i did. i went for a bath and was thinking to myself that maybe kasey had done it after all when i let him roam the room the other day and i just hadnt noticed. when i came down i got the shock of my life as who should be tryin to climb the back door?you guessed it-kasey, bold as brass!

scooped him up and went to put him back home and noticed the tiniest gap in the glass doors. he often noses the glass in the corner when he wants to come out but it seems the little bugger has worked out how to open the doors now. here he is after i popped him back, all innocent looking as if to say 'what did i do?'

have wedged a piece of card between the gap in the glass till i can get a lock on friday, hopefully that should hold

smart little buggers aren't they??

i know. i think he must have got out last night and the living room door has been open all night and day. just glad he stayed close and didnt make it upstairs, not sure how id explain the lump in kasey as being nibbles (my daughters pet mouse) if he's ventured further!

I bet you cant believe how lucky you are Amanada!! Just think of all that time he was slithering around outside of his viv and you didnt even know he had escaped until you saw him!!!

Shows how smart they are though....and hopefully your experience will get other owners thinking about just how snake-proof their vivs are!
