I know what it sounds like but its not scale rot. The humidity is fine and his substrate is not overly damp. ( lightly misted once a day )
Ever since I've had Olly from hatch every now and again he ends up with a few scale tips gone green??? He went awoll a few weeks back and was gone for about 14 days, he had a small scratch on his head and all these green scales only in patches 
He shed's fine and they never really seem to bother him.
Any ideas what it could be?

fungal infection? have you tried running him though a damp towel, see if it rubs off?
also do you really need to mist? i'v never misted mine and they shed fine, even the problem corn i took on sheds fine after a wet rub. |

Well I actually recued him from an awful petshop, he must have been only a few weeks old and I caught a few lads from the pet shop throwing him into the fish tanks to watch him wiggle about. When I told the owner of the shop I was going to call the RSPCA he put the little guy in a paper bag and told me he was my problem.
I've never looked back but ever since I've had him he's had problems sheding, I think it was going through so much stress as a baby if I dont mist him he goes all patchy and get very grumpy.
Ive treated him for fungal infections no difference. It doesnt rub off the scales are hard  |

Can you get some pics up? I would take him to a reptile vet, they should know for defintate. M isting once a day is a bit over the top to be hontest. If I ever mist I only do it around the time of shed.
I would still call the RSPCA on that petshop, that's aweful and very wrong, they should not be allowed to sell any animals let alone snakes. |

Its not all the time, He's fine now but it just appears outta the blue.
The petshop has long since closed down. good riddence. |

I dont particularly spray anything directly, just one spray thats it, I wouldnt have thought it would have made that much difference? |

prolonged exposure over time to damp can lead to health issues further down the line, its not essential to mist every day - generally you should only have to increase the humidity when they are getting ready to shed but even then its only suggested if they are having a bad time,
next time he gets the green edges maybe see if you can get a picture  |
