The girl who had him let him get stuk to a exoterra thermometer backing. so he was left hanging by his neck, the tank was turned on his side and he managed to pull free, but took a chunk of his skin out too :(. then he got trapped under the bulb gaurd.
got a vet appointment for tommorw.

hes not feeding either becuase she kept him in a tank too big but iv taken him, and he is mine now.

I also think he may have lots of broken bones :( - possibly due to the bulb gaurd. dont know how the girl treated him.

As you can see he did have retained shed too :( poor boy, but i got that off.

when i brought him home:

With out the retained shed:

His injury

Well things can only get better for the little fella!

Hope he gets better soon. Sounds like you rescued him just in time. Doubt he'd have took much more of that kind of treatment.

It might take a while for him to start eating again. Royals are very fussy eaters and even stuff like cleaning out their vivs or handling them can upset them enough to miss a feed. Think he'll have had enough trauma from his injuries, so feeding will be a slow process.

Keep trying though, he'll eat eventually and that will be a very good sign!

You dont mean the slit ?

Thats where the lower jaw seperates allowing the mouth to open wider LOL (stretchy skin)
