Hi, got a couple of hatchlings the other day and one of them has still not fed. I have tried feeding using tweezers and also left in a seperate dark box with the pinky for a couple of hours. The night before last I put her in a cricket box with the pinky and left her over night and still didn't eat it. Her last pinky was almost 2 weeks ago so not a panic yet. Any ideas to get her feeding? Martin

I've heard people talk about braining but never had to do it. What is the best method?

I use the tip of a steak knife (but don't tell the wife!). Their skulls haven't developed so its very easy to pierce, just like a grape.

My corn hatchling still hasn't fed. It has been 2 weeks and a day since her last pinkie so no panic as yet. I've tried braining and that made no difference. I put a pinkie under a cover in her viv and found her in the morning cuddled up with it! I have decided to leave her until the weekend and have another go then.

Unless you breed your own mice where will you get a live pinkie? - Shops won't sell them.

Don't worry about it yet. Has she shed recently?

It is. But if a snake isnt feeding and you just happen to slip as you were walking around with your pet mouse near a viv...

No it isnt illegal to live feed.

It is illegal to do it as a show (invite friends to watch) but is legal in the privacy of your own home.
