Does anyone let their snake Hibernate? I read that adults hibernate if you reduce the temp over winter? is it neccessay in captivity

No, its not necessary, unless you want to cut down heating and food bills. Also, some say it will help them breed the following year.

with central heating it's quite an effort to cool them. Breeders usually have a room or shed dedicated to their reps/vivs so it's easier to drop the temps over winter by turning the radiator in that particular room off or turning the mat thermostats down
